orioles Sweep of Astros Good Sign for Team that has Struggled Closing out Series

To me the most telling negative statistic for the surprising Baltimore Orioles has been their woeful record in the last game of each series: until last night they were 6-15 in those close-out contests (with 1 postponement and 1 suspended game).

You have heard a lot made of their poor record on Sundays — only 1 win against 10 losses.  Go figure!  Usually these two circumstances coincide: e.g. Sunday is usually the getaway day for whichever team is on the road.  Maybe the sweep of Houston can jump start them away from those negative vibes.  (Tejada must be wondering what he has to do to get on a winning team!)  Now if they could only win on a Sunday!

We’ll have to pray that God will be gracious & let them have some Sunday wins. Glad to see you’re following the O’s. I’m lovin’ it!

Now it’s 12 losses in a row on Sunday. Maybe we should see if Connie Francis is available to sing “Never on a Sunday”…
