Demand #11: Fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell
Memory Verse: "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The context in Matthew 10 is one of anticipation of persecution in light of the upcoming mission of proclamation of the truth on the part of the commissioned disciples. Why shouldn’t the disciples fear man and fear the upcoming persecution? Why shouldn’t they shrink back from their huge task of confronting a wicked world with the gospel of repentance and faith as essential for new life in Christ and escape from hell?
