One of my daughters touched a nerve with me when she noted that gasoline prices would soon far surpass the cost of a gallon of milk. It’s painful to watch all of those hard-earned dollars expended in exhaust smoke out the tailpipe. I didn’t mind so much before I was retired and my work was footing the bill.
Part of the increase must be the added operational expense of gas station owners having to continually change the numbers on their signs. That doesn’t look like an easy task for some of those higher signs.
Maybe I should consider switching over to a motorcycle — but that would make it tough on the wife. I guess this sad situation is going to get worse before it gets better.
